NBC Regional Tournament Game 4 Semifinals
Natchitoches Braves 8 Apollos 2-The Braves beat a depleted Apollos team by out hitting them and playing good defense, their pitcher Cunningham threw well and only had one inning of wildness.
Chris Gibson started for the Apollos going 3.33 innings allowing 7 runs. The Apollos weren't sharp and made several errors then the Braves hit several balls in the gap blowing the game open. Grady Williams finished the game allowing one run in 2.67 innings.
NBC Regional Tournament Game 3
Apollos 6-Natchitoches Braves 3
Jason Ryan threw 4 innings allowing 3 runs and was replaced by Mike Estrada. Jason threw very well but just isn't in shape. Mike came in and threw the final innings not allowing a run. He also hit a double and a single knocking in and scoring two runs.
The Natchitoches Braves were 3-0 coming into this game and jumped out to quick 3-0 lead, however the Apollos fought back scoring 4 runs with 2 outs in the 6th. Clifton Siems walked then Robert Dittrich singled, Trey Roberson walked. They the Braves pitcher uncorked 2 wild pitches scoring two runs, Reggie Veale walked then Mike Estrada singled to centerfield scoring two more. In the 7th Andrew Dunn singled advanced to third and then with two outs and two strikes stole home on the catchers return throw to the pitcher.
NBC Regional Tournament Game 2
Apollos 3-Wolves 2
Chris Ryan threw six strong innings giving the Apollos a chance. Allowing a home run as his only run. Stephen Alexander came on to pitch 2.33 innings for another save. The Apollos scored their runs on a botched double play that Donald Kemmerling would have hit into. Andrew Dunn lead the game off with a 17 pitch single. He fouled 12 pitches before singling to left.
NBC Regional Tournament Game 1
Houston Wildcats 7-Apollos 6 David Trahan gave up three runs on what would have been a routine inning ending comebacker. That was the difference in the game, Mike Estrada and Andrew Dunn also made errors but the difference was the throw down the line. David threw the ball over the firstbaseman's head. Allowing the bases to be emptyed. However the Apollos clawed back and got the game to extra innings. Donald Kemmerling drove in 5 runs on two infield errors. Stephen Alexander came in and held the Wildcats down before finally giving up a run in extra innings.
(Raiders won tournament and qualified for Witchita they defeated Wolves in Final 5-2)
NBC West tournament Game 3 Houston Wolves 4 Apollos 3
Brian Collins allowed 3 runs in the first inning before being removed for Steven Alexander. He walked 5 batters and allowed one hit. Steven finished the game only allowing one run. Isa Garcia knocked in a run and Hunter Langois knocked in two runs in a pitch hit situation. In the end the Apollos fell short and were eliminated from tournament.
NBC West tournament Game 2 Apollos 6 Gulf Coast Gators 1 The Apollos scored 4 of their runs by stealing bases of Kyle Myers and Andrew Dunn. Chris Ryan was dominant on the mound only allowing one run with several strikeouts.
NBC West tournament Game 1 Raiders 11 Apollos 1. Ryan Laverell made three huge errors all with two outs that sparked the Raiders into having big inning. The Raiders hit the ball well, but the Apollos made seven errors as a team.
Game 20 Raiders 7 Apollos 6. David Trahan gave up 5 runs in the first inning. The Apollos were able to get back into the game to tie it up with runs from Dunn, Siems, Lavarell, Mize, and Myers. In relief Jonathan Scudder gave up 2 more runs. Aaron Mize hit a homer to try to get the Apollos back into the game, but they couldn't come up with that one needed run to tie the game. Mike Estrada closed the game allowing no runs.
